Welcome from the Headteacher
On behalf of all the staff we would like to welcome you to our school website. It is designed to help you learn more about our school and is full of information that parents and carers will need to know.
We have the highest aspirations for all at Knollmead by being ambitious, inclusive and resilient and we strive for our children to be the same. We are very proud of the learning that takes place here, in particular consistently achieving progress above the national average. Our more able pupils also flourish at Knollmead, with 53% of children in the mainstream part of the school achieving the higher standard in reading in 2024 (compared to 29% of children nationally), and 53% of children in the mainstream part of the school achieving the higher standard in maths in 2024 (compared to 24% of children nationally).
We are also very proud of our outstanding inclusive practice, as recognised during external reviews of our Specialist Resourced Provisions in February 2019 and March 2022, and Ofsted's recognition in October 2019 that the children's Behaviour and attitudes, the Early Years provision, and the Leadership and management of the school are all outstanding.

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to provide an engaging curriculum that challenges and motivates our children, ensuring that they not only achieve academic success but also develop essential life skills through fantastic opportunities above and beyond an ordinary curriculum.
We actively encourage children to be inquisitive about the world around them and we celebrate every child’s success on their learning journey as we prepare the children for a world of opportunity.
Our aim is to create a lifelong love of learning in every child.
